Algebra I Course Curriculum

Algebra 1 is designed to introduce students to the fundamental foundation of mathematics. This course aims to foster an understanding of how mathematical facts are interconnected and how algebraic protocols mirror mathematical thinking. It emphasizes the development of mathematical proficiency in these key areas:

  • Understanding the principles of numbers and equations.
  • Simplifying and solving linear equations and inequalities.
  • Manipulating ratios, dealing with proportions, and handling fractional values.

Uniquely crafted units will also explore relations and functions, graphing equations, interpreting graphs, and delving into the world of direct variation.

Throughout the course, abstract concepts are connected to real-world applications, demonstrating the role of algebra in everyday life situations.

Upon completion, students will have a strong understanding of fundamental algebraic principles, paving the way for higher-level math skills and abstract thinking.
